WELCOME TO CROSSFIT IRON HORSE

We are not your typical gym. We are a community first. Though we have a 9,000 square foot fully climate controlled training facility with showers and changing rooms like most gyms, it’s our community, our coaching, and our programming that sets us apart from the rest. The CrossFit community strives to break away from the current and very flawed fitness model we see so prevalent in America today. You won’t find fancy machines or a lack of interaction between members here. What you will find are all the tools necessary to build higher levels of functional fitness. In most gyms, these tools are relegated to a dark, dusty corner; at CrossFit, barbells, dumbbells, rowers, kettle bells, medicine balls, rings, pull-up bars, and other “basic” and “old-school” fitness implements are cherished above all else. These are the tools that help us achieve higher levels of fitness.

Of course, the greatest key to your success is you. Achieving a happier, healthier, and longer life requires your determination and the watchful eye of our dedicated staff of coaches. Whatever your fitness level is today and whatever your fitness goals may be, we are there to help and guide you every step of the way. As with any endeavor you may choose to participate in, having fun is the glue that holds it all together. CrossFit has no peer in the ability to foster a sense of accomplishment and team building amongst it’s participants. Yes, you will be challenged within your limits and you will likely feel intimidated by the program initially, but we assure you, you’ll end every workout with a smile and high-five.

OUR CLASSES

WORKOUT OF THE DAY
We perform functional movements at high intensity, giving you a comprehensive full-body workout in under an hour. Classes are instructor-led and peer-driven, providing an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation. Workouts are constantly varied and unique, ensuring that you always make progress. We combine elements of boot camp workouts, gymnastics (especially rings and floor work), Olympic weightlifting, rowing, and running. Some workouts are done for time, others for maximum number of reps. Any way you slice it, you’ll be working hard!

The possibilities for fitness are endless: Monday, you could be doing push-ups, squats, and pull-ups. Tuesday, you could be doing box jumps, presses, and jump-rope. We have a huge number of exercises to choose from, so working out never becomes boring. We program workouts six days a week with the aim of bringing you closer to wellness. Each and every class you can expect to be warmed up, taught a new skill, put through a tough workout and then cooled down and stretched. All we expect from you is effort! See what today’s WOD is.

At CrossFit Iron Horse our Onramp Course is how you start off on the right path to reach your fitness goals. Each and every client new to CrossFit will be required to take this course. Personally coached by one of our certified CrossFit level 1 trainers and delivered in a private one-on-one session. Onramp is designed to get you to your first Workout of the Day (WOD) with the knowledge you need to be successful! During Onramp you will become familiar with CrossFit movement fundamentals, basic Olympic lifts and how WODs are structured. Each Onramp class we focus primarily on one area of movement: basic barbell, Olymic Lifting, or gymnastics. During Onramp we will assess your fitness level and teach you how to scale movements as needed. This foundation will ensure you transition from Onramp to WODs with confidence. Onramp is not required for CrossFit Kids.

One-on-one or private small group training is an excellent way to get comfortable with CrossFit workouts before moving into group classes. Personal training is also very useful if you are preparing for a specific challenge or event. We can integrate personal training with one of our experienced coaches into your program along with group workouts to ensure you accomplish whatever goals you have set for yourself. Did you miss a WOD this week that you want to make up? Is there an Olympic Lift or skill you would like to improve? Open gym is perfect for working on movements or making up a missed WOD. We offer Open Gym 5 days a week. A coach is always available to work with you. Open gym is also a great for doing benchmark workouts and setting one rep maximums that are often referenced during WODs.
