Originally born in Los Angeles California, Coach Adonys moved to Fort Worth in 1993. He has called Panther City home ever since. From a young age, he was in gymnastics, played football, baseball, soccer, and golf. Coming from a family of athletes, it was destined for him to become one himself. In high school, Coach Adonys attended Arlington Heights High School, a.k.a “Aye Heights!”, Where he lettered in football, baseball, and played soccer. After Two state championship runs in high school, Coach Adonys played college baseball at Brookhaven Jr. College for two years and then at LSU-Shreveport for another two years. During his time at Brookhaven, Coach Adonys was back home one summer working a summer job and noticed that the gym next door wasn’t a traditional gym. The music was always blasting, the floor was always shaking from the weights dropping, and some of the fittest people he’d ever seen walked in and out of the place. So like any other natural athlete would, he stopped in to see what was up. That’s when he was introduced to CrossFit and met Coach Candice. At that momentum knew that he wanted to start CrossFit once his baseball career was over. Then in March of 2017 Coach Adonys joined CrossFit Iron Horse as member. After 6 months there, he decided to go back to school to get his degree in Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Psychology at the University of North Texas. While he was there he joined another CrossFit gym to continue his fitness journey also interning with the UNT strength and conditioning program. Soon after graduating from UNT, Coach Adonys ordained his CFL1 and was offered another internship with CrossFit Iron Horse. Which turned into a coaching position that he has today!
